Personal Trust Services

Glenview State Bank's Trust Department manages investments for individuals, families and companies. While many of our clients simply want the Bank to handle their retirement plans or personal investments, many clients also want the Bank to be the Trustee of their personal trusts and the Executor of their estates.

A Trust is simply a document with your written instructions about who shall benefit from your wealth after your passing (or your incapacity), as well as how and when they shall benefit. Banks make good Trustees (the party charged with carrying out the Trust's instructions) because they have no personal relationship with the beneficiaries; because they are professionally trained to do the time consuming tasks associated with being a Trustee; and because they are very likely to be around, still doing the job, for generations to come.

While not usually associated with younger families, establishing a trust at this stage in life can provide a sense of security. By creating a financial framework with trusted advisors, individual or families can adjust their investments and directives as time passes.
