American Express Gift and Travel products are available at all GSB teller locations.

Traveling out of the country? GSB customers can also purchase the widely used Euro currency at our main bank office. To check the availability of amounts greater than $500, please call the Bank at (847) 729-1900.

• Traveler's Cheques are sold in packets of $150 to $1,000. If lost or stolen they are usually refunded within 24 hours. The service fee is 1.00% of the value.
• Traveler's Cheques for Two are ideal when more than one person is likely to use the money. Either one of the two names may sign and redeem for cash, services or merchandise. The service fee is 2.00% of the value.
• Foreign Traveler's Cheques are available for British Pound Sterling, Canadian Dollars and Euros. The service fee is $10.00 plus 1.00% of the value. (GSB customers may purchase Euros and Canadian dollars at the main bank office, 800 Waukegan Road. Other currencies may be ordered with a 7-10 day notice. Customers pay the shipping and handling fees.)
• American Express® Gift Cards have stored values of $25, $50, and $100. They may be used at all locations that accept the AMEX Gift Card for payment. The service fee is $3.95 per card.
• American Express Gift Cheques, available in denominations of $25, $50 and $100, may be used like a Traveler's Cheque. There is a service fee of $2.50 per check.
